The following table illustrates the test environments that have been used to certify this release of SQLBase using various operating systems and network protocols. This Product Certification table reflects combinations of clients, servers, and network protocols that passed our most rigorous tests. However, there are other combinations of clients, servers, and network protocols that are supported.

Underneath each server and client entry in parenthesis will be the Centura COMDLL associated. Please refer to the section at the end of this document that describe the operating environment in more detail.

The network used was 802.3/Ethernet based.

Special Notes:

1) Microsoft Windows 3.1 is supported.

2) Microsoft Windows 95, Windows 98, and Windows NT (Server and Workstation) are not able to support SQLBase as a server listening on IPX/SPX.

Each operating system environment listed above is shown in more detail below. During testing we focused on one protocol at a time. However, all protocols were installed and loaded at the same time. Concurrent use of all protocols is supported.

MANUFACTURER RECOMMENDED SOFTWARE & PATCHES:

Novell NetWare Client Kit 1.20 for DOS/MS Windows with the VLMUP4.EXE (VLMS 1.20b) patches applied to it. If you already have VLMUP4.EXE and the Client kit 1.20 you do not need to download these files. The following compressed files must be downloaded in order to have a complete product:
